Women of Color Thriving Therapy Group
A 6-Month Virtual Therapy Group for Women of Color in Leadership Roles
The Women of Color Thriving Therapy Group is a 6-month virtual group therapy program specifically designed for women of color who are in leadership positions. This group provides a unique opportunity to heal, connect, and thrive in a supportive community of women navigating similar challenges.
It’s often a hard, lonely road for women of color in leadership roles who are tirelessly pushing against professional paradigms, engaging in social justice work, and balancing the responsibilities of personal life. This group therapy space offers a restorative environment where participants can process their personal hurts, explore racialized trauma, and address external challenges related to their professional identities.
Why Join the Women of Color Thriving Therapy Group?
Being a woman of color leader comes with distinct challenges, including racialized trauma, gender-based discrimination, and the pressure to constantly perform at your best. Many women of color in leadership roles face:
Anxiety and Mood Disorders: Impact of systemic stress and microaggressions at work
Compassion Fatigue & Burnout: The weight of caring for others while neglecting your own well-being
Racialized Trauma: Misogynoir, racism, and discrimination that affect mental health
In this group, you will work with Dr. Coleman and other women of color leaders to address:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge negative thoughts and develop healthier coping strategies
Attachment Theory to heal from past relational wounds and improve current relationships
Psychodynamic Therapy to explore how past experiences shape present behaviors and leadership roles
Program Details:
